Post Jam Version Released!
The Godot XR Game Jam was honestly a lot of fun, I learned a lot and really enjoyed what I ended up with, and playing everyone else's entries was awesome! Over the past couple weeks I've been cleaning up my entry, both adding new content and fixing issues, so I'll go over those below!
Jolt Physics!
This was honestly super easy to implement and is only a net positive for the physics, no more requests wobbling on the table!
Balancing Changes!
The prices of seeds, value of the harvested flowers, and how long they take to grow has all been tweaked so you can actually make money now.
New Vases!
I've added 6 new vases to purchase in the shop of varying colors and types to try out! They don't add anything to the cost of your final arrangement, but they look better than a cup!
Haptics!
Now when using tools, and other actions, there's haptic feedback! I don't think it works in WebXR from what I recall, but there should now be some basic haptics on at least the PCVR version!
Game Saving!
The game now saves! When the day ends the game will save automatically, and will reload on the next launch of the game. Currently though, the state of garden beds are NOT saved, so if you have anything planted when you quit, those seeds will be refunded to your inventory on load. But your inventory, gold, purchased items, etc, should all load as expected!
QoL Fixes!
- Arrangements now respawn on the counter if you drop them out of reach, or leave them unattended off the sales counter for too long.
- Holstered tools no longer select garden plots and don't interact with physics objects
- Added some daisies to harvest and water on the first and second days so you actually have something to start with on day 1!
- Some other stuff I'm probably forgetting!
Bug Fixes!
- Audios adjusted for better hearability
- Footsteps should work as expected now
- Various small issues
I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting, but that should be the big changes! I do eventually plan on working on a fuller version of this concept, with the goal being for both flat screen and VR, but we'll see how that goes lol. Have fun!
