Recommendation: Check out the game called RoboCo! ( https://roboco.co/) Your game reminds me of that cartoonish robot-building puzzle game. I think it'll give you so many ideas on how to expand your puzzle aspects in new ways. You also share the colorful minimal approach in art style.
Gameplay: Good straightforward game loop. Since it's more of a Roblox blocky style, I'm able to pick up on the important objects in the room easily. But I'd also add maybe a glow to interactable stuff around the area. The 2D icons are ok, but for those with not-so-perfect vision, it would help to have another indicator outside of an icon.
Level Design: You could have a huge diverse range of level designs since the theme is in a electric/production plant. The electric-themed puzzles are there.
What about water based level where you must turn valves and release water/steam pressures? What about a radioactive level where you have to press buttons to ensure waste jugs are sorted correctly? Or a Recycling level where you use switches to send plastics and metals down the right pipes and tubes as they shoot at high speeds? Perhaps an Save the People level where you level out gauges to help NPCs walk across broken hazards without getting shocked. I think levels that expand in the in-world theme could help this go from jam game to polished demo.
Enjoyed it, even though I died from the generator without noticing ^^ Its a nice touch the people going around and the lights of the arcarde. Good job!
